Goodwill Community Clean-up

On October 15th, 2011 the Dover Jaycees held a Community Clean-Up in partnership with the Goodwill of Delaware at The Rodney Village in Dover. We were graced with a great day for the event and gathered community donations in support of the Goodwill"s mission and vision for the community. We have not received the final amount for the poundage but at around 1pm that day we overheard the Goodwill associates saying that there was 3,000 lbs collected so far. Not to shabby, I say. Thank you to all of our volunteers who came out to support the Dover Jaycees!

Thank you again to all of our sponsors Chick-Fil-a, 33 West, Ancient Massage, Beauty Max, Signs By Tomorrow, jewelry from Shelby's Magnetic Jewelry, My Roma Pizza, Bobbi Slagle from First Class Properties and Robin Miller from Wells Fargo!

Congratulations to all of our raffle winners!

Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing

Dover Jaycees serve food at local shelter

We would like to thanks all the Jaycees that donated and participated in the Dover Interfaith Mission Dinner on Sunday September, 18th! It was a huge success; we fed all the staff, residents, and volunteers. The Jaycees worked together as a group to prepare the meal, wash the dishes, set everything up assembly line style, serve the men, and eat dinner with them. A great time was had by all, and hopefully we can do this again. Once again thank you to everyone who participated in any way!

The Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing (DIHM) is a non-profit corporation of local individuals, faith communities and organizations dedicated to providing shelter and services to homeless men. The DIMH is Dover's only men's shelter and is located at 684 Forest St. which is now their permanent home.
