The Donated Goods Manager, Beverly Wright spoke with the Dover Jaycees on July 11, 2011 about the positive work Goodwill does within the community and how a partnership with the Jaycees will make a difference.


Goodwill has been serving Delaware and Delaware County, PA for over 85 years. Goodwill was incorporated in 1921 by the Rev. J. H. Beauchamp at Asbury Methodist Church.  Goodwill Industries of Delaware and Delaware County, Inc. is the oldest nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing vocational services inthe state of Delaware. Goodwill's philosophy originated with "Give a hand up, not a hand out." Their original intent was to put people to work by collecting, repairing and reselling clothing and household items. The purpose was, and still is, to discover the productive capabilities inherent in all people.
